Schlosslichtspiele Karlsruhe

The jury of the ZKM Karlsruhe around Peter Weibel has selected us among international artists to realize our show "Paperlife" for the Schlosslichtspiele Karlsruhe. From 11 August to 25 September 2016, our show was part of this extraordinary summer event.

3000 square meters on 170 m palace facade, the largest "screen" of the Federal Republic expect also in 2017 every evening the visitor in the castle park.

The projection show "PAPERLIFE" by Hauslaib Lichtwelten lets the Karlsruhe Palace be made out of paper. The animations illustrate worlds of ideas that are in our books. The countless stories and fantastic creatures are told by Hauslaib Lichtwelten in a wondrous and magical imagery, while Andreas Usenbenz brings to life through special sound design the creatures and luminaries of "Paperlife". Everything that could be heard in front of the castle from 11.08.2016 was based solely on the sound of paper. More about sound here.
